Veg Schezwan fried rice (step by step procedure)

Schezwan fried rice is a popular Indo Chinese recipe which is spicy with amazing garlic flavor. Rice stir fried with veggies and schezwan sauce which is incredibly tasty with fabulous chilli garlic flavor.

Any kind of veggies can be added to the fried rice which are stir fried and sautéed with schezwan sauce. This is the best tasty homemade fried rice  we had so far. My husband loved it and now it will be one of our regular dish for a lunch. If schezwan sauce is well prepared in advance then this fried rice will be very less time consuming. First time I tried schezwan sauce, schezwan noodles, schezwan fried rice at home,all the dishes are super hit with amazing taste. I have to say there is no other place we can get as tasty as homemade schezwan recipes. These are the dishes which satisty our craving for tasty recipes.

The spicy of fried rice can be adjusted based on quantity of schezwan sauce. If you need more spicy you can add more sauce. I am very happy to share step by step pictures with the procedure. Veg schezwan fried rice is a very popular Indo Chinese recipe with amazing chilli garlic flavor.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup cooked basmathi rice
  • 1/2 cup spring onions (2 tsp to garnish)
  • 1 cup veggies(beans, carrot) (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup broccoli
  • 1/2 tsp garlic (chopped)
  • 3 tsp schezwan sauce
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp olive oil
Instructions
  1. Cook basmathi rice in pressure cooker or on stove top.

  2. I cooked in pressure cooker for one whistle and kept aside to cool.

  3. Heat oil in a pan add garlic saute for few seconds and add chopped spring onion, saute for a minute.

  4. Now add chopped carrot, beans, broccoli mix well and saute for 3-4 min till it becomes tender.

  5. Add schezwan sauce mix well and saute for one min.

  6. Then add vinegar mix well.

  7. Finally add black pepper powder, sugar, salt then saute for a minute.

  8. Now add cooked rice mix well with veggies and garnish with spring onions.

  9. Tasty and flavorful schezwan fried rice is ready to serve.

Preparation of schezwan fried rice- step by step procedure

  • Cook basmathi rice in pressure cooker or on stove top.(I cooked in pressure cooker for one whistle and kept aside to cool).
  • Chop veggies and keep aside.

  • Heat oil in a pan add garlic saute for few seconds and add chopped spring onion, saute for a minute.

  • Now add chopped carrot, beans, broccoli mix well and saute for 3-4 min till it becomes tender.

  • Add schezwan sauce mix well and saute for one min.

  • Then add vinegar mix well.

  • Finally add black pepper powder, sugar, salt then saute for a minute.

  • Now add cooked rice mix well with veggies and garnish with spring onions.

  • Tasty and flavorful schezwan fried rice is ready to serve.

Note:

  • Adjust the quantity of schezwan sauce according to your taste.
  • Any kind of veggies can be added to the fried rice.
  • Adding sugar to the fried rice is optional.
  • Instead of vinegar you can add lemon juice.
