Tomato upma is an instant recipe prepared for breakfast. Roasted upma rava with tomato with little touch of spices is the best instant breakfast. This recipe will be similar to hotel style tomato bath upma and served with ground nut garlic chutney and it’s the best combination.
This recipe is less time consuming and very easy to prepare. It can be prepared within 15 minutes. I like this recipe a lot and to start our very busy day simple and tasty breakfast is the best thing we can do. Instant tomato upma recipe will be similar to hotel style tomato bath upma and it will be delicious and tasty.
- 3/4th cup roasted upma rava
- 2 tomato cubed
- 2 green chilli
- 1/4 tsp ginger chopped
- 4-5 cashew chopped
- 1/2 tsp jeera
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- to taste salt
- 2 1/2 cup water
- 3-4 tsp oil
- 1/2 cup roasted groundnuts remove skin
- 1-2 garlic
- 4-5 curry leaves
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- to taste salt
- water as needed
Heat oil in a pan add jeera, cashew, green chilli, ginger and saute for a minute.
Then add chopped tomato, turmeric mix well and fry them till it turn soft.
Add water, salt and bring to boil then add roasted rava mix well.
Close the lid and cook in medium heat till water is absorbed.
Serve delicious tomato upma hot or warm with ground nut garlic chutney.
In a blender add roasted ground nuts, garlic, curry leaves, red chilli powder, salt, water and blend in to fine paste.
Serve ground nut garlic chutney with tomato upma.
- Adjust the quantity of water for upma as per your requirement.
- In addition, adjust the quantity of green chilli as needed.
