Dahi veggie toast / curd vegetable toast

🍞Dahi veggie toast/ curd vegetable toast is easy and healthy breakfast with amazing taste. Kids will love this toast and it goes well with lunch box too. Adding curd to the veggies gives amazing crispy texture to the toast but it’s optional.

This is the best way to incorporate veggies in our regular diet😀. I always use whole wheat bread which is good compare to white bread so the usage of bread will be regular for breakfast. I tried different kind of sandwiches or toast to start our important meal of the day. Procedure to prepare veggie mixture is so easy but green chilli paste will be added to the mixture but you can adjust the quantity of green chilli according to your taste. Once the mixture is prepared it should be used immediately otherwise water will be formed from the veggies and curd. Little amount of sooji should be added to the mixture to act as binding agent so that mixture will attach well to the bread. Easy, healthy and tasty veggies toast served with ketchup.

Ingredients
  • 8 bread slices
  • 1/2 cup capsicum (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup carrot (grated)
  • 1 tomato (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup curd
  • 1 tsp green chillli paste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 2 tsp sooji
  • salt to taste
  • oil to toast
Instructions
  1. Take a bowl add finely chopped capsicum, onion, tomato, grated carrot.

  2. Now add curd, sooji, green chilli paste, salt. (add green chilli in mortar and pestle then grind in to paste or you can add finely chopped green chilli).

  3. Then mix the veggies mixture well and keep aside.

  4. Apply 2 tsp of dahi veggie mixture on the bread slice and keep aside.

  5. Spread little oil on a pan toast one side of vegetable mixture for 2 minutes and toast the other side of the bread for a minute.

  6. Dahi vegetable toast is ready to serve with tomato ketchup for breakfast.

Note:

  • Adjust the quantity of green chilli according to your taste.

  • Veggies mixture should be used immediately and it shouldn’t be stored for longer time.
  • Dahi toast can be served with ketchup or any kind of sauce.
