Broccoli Paratha Recipe

Broccoli paratha is a healthy and tasty recipe prepared for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Broccoli is very rich nutritious vegetable and have very good health benefits. Broccoli paratha is the best lunch box recipe for kids.

For preparing paratha, broccoli should be grated and sauteed  for few seconds with little touch of spices and this mixture will be used as stuffing to prepare paratha. Healthy and tasty Broccoli paratha for breakfast, lunch or dinner and served with curd or pickle.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour (for rolling and dusting)
  • 1 1/2 cup broccoli (grated)
  • 1 onion medium (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 green chilli (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp amchur powder (dry mango)
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • salt to taste
  • 2-3 tsp oil
Instructions
  1. Prepare the chapathi dough by mixing and kneading the whole wheat flour with salt and water. Cover and keep aside for 30 minutes.

  2. Wash the broccoli florets well. Now grate the broccoli florets and keep aside.

  3. Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds, chopped onion, chopped green chilli and fry till onion becomes translucent.

  4. Now add grated broccoli,turmeric, red chilli powder, garam masala, amchur powder , salt mix well.

  5. Fry the broccoli mixture for 2 minutes and keep aside to cool.

  6. Divide the dough in 6 equal balls. Take one ball press in center to make dent and fill 1tsp of filling and cover bring together all the sides in the center and seal tightly.

  7. Roll the dough like rotis by dusting the four.

  8. Do not apply more pressure since the filling might break out. Do not keep more filling.

  9. Cook both sides of paratha on hot tawa by applying oil on both sides.

  10. Serve hot with curd or pickle.

Preparation of Broccoli Paratha- Step by step procedure

Note: 

The quantity of red chilli powder can be adjusted accordingly.
