Avocado Chutney recipe

🥑Avocado chutney is the healthy and most delicious chutney which goes well with rice, roti or dosa. It can be served as side dish for chips or tortillas. I like avocado a lot and I tried to incorporate in our regular diet😃.

We like spicy chutneys as side dish for rice so today just thought of trying this amazing dish and we loved it. If serving for kids adjust the quantity of green chilli. This is one of the regular fruit we have in our diet. For any avocado recipe lemon juice should be added to prevent it to from changing color. Avocado chutney is healthy, easy and delicious chutney which goes well with rice or dosa.

Ingredients
  • 1 avocado (ripened)
  • 1 onion medium (chopped)
  • 2 garlic
  • 2 or 3 green chilli
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tsp jeera
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • to taste salt
  • 1-2 tsp oil
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a pan add jeera, garlic, green chilli and saute for few seconds.

  2. Add chopped onions and saute well till it becomes translucent.

  3. Now add avocado pieces to the blender.

  4. Transfer onion mixture to the blender along with coriander leaves, salt, lemon juice.

  5. Add little water and blend in to fine paste.

  6. Serve delicious avocado chutney with rice , dosa or roti.

 Preparation of avocado chutney – step by step 

  • Heat oil in a pan add jeera, garlic, green chilli and saute for few seconds.
  • Add chopped onions and saute well till it becomes translucent.

  • Now add avocado pieces to the blender.

  • Transfer onion mixture to the blender along with coriander leaves, salt, lemon juice.

  • Add little water and blend in to fine paste.
  • Serve delicious avocado chutney with rice , dosa or roti.

Note:

  • Adjust the quantity of green chilli according to your taste.
  • Avocado should be ripened and soft.
  • Instead of lemon juice you can add little tamarind juice.
  • You can add tadka if you like but it’s optional.
